A supper club shaped by art and conversation

About

Where galleries become gathering places.

Who we are

Every month, we transform a gallery into a candlelit dinner party for 30 to 50 carefully curated guests, young professionals, creatives, and cultural tastemakers, introducing them to new galleries, exhibitions, and artists in their city. It is a new way to discover art, meet like-minded people, and immerse yourself in your local art scene in a way that feels innovative, exciting, and genuinely inviting.

What does Ōnder Ōns mean?

Ōnder Ōns takes its name from the Dutch expression "onder ons," meaning "between us." It describes a space where people can gather openly and comfortably, without pretense, and connect over something they genuinely care about. That feeling of closeness and connection sits at the heart of every dinner we host, and the name itself is a nod to my Dutch heritage.

More than a supper club, Ōnder Ōns is a community. Each dinner brings together a small group of strangers who share a curiosity for art and a desire for real conversation. Over shared plates and unfamiliar faces, guests leave with new connections, whether that's a friendship, a collaborator, or simply a fresh perspective they wouldn't have found on their own.

About Roxana Kaplan

Growing up with my mother, Elena Kaplan, a portrait painter and gallery owner, art has always been a central part of my life. While studying art history at George Washington University, many of my classes took place inside museums and galleries across Washington, D.C., where I became deeply immersed in the local art community.

The more time I spent in these spaces, the more I noticed a gap: many of the most curious, creative, and ambitious people I knew weren't engaging with the local art scene. Galleries often felt intimidating, inaccessible, or disconnected from their daily lives.

That realization sparked Ōnder Ōns, a supper club designed to make art more approachable by bringing people together for intimate dinners inside galleries and creative spaces. Through food, conversation, and community, guests discover local artists and engage with the arts in a way that feels welcoming and human.
